Korn/ metallica throwing puppies out on stage before performances?

Alright, this is kind of weird, but I just recently heard that the bands Korn and Metallica have thrown puppies out on stage and would not come out and perform until all of the puppies were dead/ threw dead puppies at people during performance. Has anyone heard anything about this or know anything about this? Just wondering.
