Should I supplement my oil forced air system with my propane direct vent fireplace to save money?

with oil prices going up, I am trying to weigh my options for heating my house - I have an oil burner furnace, with hydro air, and also have a propane direct vent fireplace. does it make sense to try to take advantage of the fireplace to save money?
