I NEED SERIOUS GUY HELP! URGENT ASAP!?

Ok so I met this amazing kid who lives in Spain and we go to summer camp together for two weeks. His name is Santiago and we are the same age but he is in highschool and I'm still in 8th. Is that weird? We have been best friends for 4 years and I'm close with his little sister. We talk almost every week. All the girls are in love with Santiago. 42 girls asked him to final banquet( a dance) but he asked me and I didn't even ask him. I was surprised and said yes but I like him as a friend. Every single girl told me i was sp lucky but how could I be picked. He could get anygirl he wanted but he chose me. Why? I asked myself.Then we becam close and his little sister teased us and said we liked each other. I kinda did but I'm not sure if he dis. He always talked to me instead of the other girls and told me I'm different from most girls because Im not all over him and see him for who he is. Not. y santi as all the girls would say but just Santiago. But he is very attractive cause he is from Spain. We played soccer alot together and made each other. We also swam and walked together and he would always put his arm around me. After we left and he went back to Spain I can't keep thinking about him. But before he left and hugged me and said he would miss me.I don't want to be obsessive but I want him to like me back. How do I make him like more this year but not be obsessed? I wish I showed him more affection. Is it worth it cause he lives in Spain? Do you think we have a chance or should move on because at camp a lot of guys asked me 22 guys but I chose santi and I don't know why. Please help. I'm in love with someone thousands of miles away.
