What was accomplished during the meeting of heads of states at the United Nation?

Lots of inspirational speeches but does anyone listen? Did Obama convince Khadafy, Kim Il, Ahmanedajd (sp?) and Hugo Chavez to to conform with internationally agreed rules and treaties? Seemed like it's the same rhetoric at the United Nations as last year and the years before that.
